MEGA MATTERHORN: This MEGA coin is nearly 2.5 inches in diameter and comes in a very large NGC holder to match! The 1987 Swiss Matterhorn commemorative was issued to celebrate the most iconic and recognizable peak in the Alps. The obverse features the Matterhorn itself while the reverse features Helvetia, the female personification of Switzerland (“Helvetia” is also Latin for “Switzerland”). Both sides have devices fully drenched in frost and contrast spectacularly against pitch-black mirrors. This is the first time we’ve offered something such as this and is making quite the debut due to its origin and size!
