1943-S STEEL CENT NGC MS 65

$39.00

Struck during World War II, it was made from zinc-coated steel instead of the usual copper, as copper was needed for wartime ammunition and equipment. The change marked the only time in U.S. history that circulating Lincoln cents were produced from steel.

This 1943-S boasts almost no bagmarks on its seemingly silver surfaces. It is one of my favorite clear representations of our nation’s history!
